In the distance A Motherfucking Diva appears on the bow of a phantom ship, sailing on former glory. There they are: a shining star, a real icon and a motherfucking diva. Sparkling like real stars: lonesomely smoldering in the distance.

Kom naar de onthulling van HET nieuwe aangekochte werk van het Amsterdam Museum. In brons gegoten door niemand minder dan de kunstenaars van La Isla Bonita. Op een sokkel wacht op u een groots krachtig standbeeld nu nog in doek verpakt. Klaar om bombastische onthuld te worden! Everybody ready? Zodra het startsein klinkt zal hen geen beweging meer maken. Kom kijken en word bekeken. Look but don’t touch!
La Isla Bonita vraagt zich af: Hoe vrij zijn we echt in onze stad? Samen staan we daarbij stil. Als ultiem activisme in een stad die altijd in beweging is.
Speciaal voor museum nacht creëert La Isla Bonita een levend standbeeld performance voor de queer community. Een werk dat reageert en aansluit op de huidige tentoonstelling Gay Games 1998 van Amsterdam Museum.
